The Israeli Soldiers Hijacked An Ambulance

October 7, 2001

In one of their immoral and inhuman acts, the Israeli occupation forces hijacked an ambulance of the Martyr Thabet Thabet Hospital yesterday. The mentioned ambulance was coming from Ramallah, carrying medications when the Israeli soldiers stopped it at Tayba-Tulkarem barrier and compelled the driver to get out of the ambulance. After they dressed in the uniforms of the ambulance staff, the soldiers took the ambulance and drove away, chasing a taxi on the Tulkarem-Tayba main street.

Some eye-witnesses said that the soldiers used the siren of the ambulance to pass all the cars on the street where they stopped the mentioned taxi and arrested the driver and two of those who were in the taxi. They hit them and took them in the ambulance to an unknown destination.

Al-Hayat Journal sources mentioned that after they used the ambulance in the most vicious way, the occupation soldiers returned the ambulance to the driver who was still at the barrier.
